Lumen (noun) The measure of brightness from a light source.
Lumen is a platform that immerses people in alternate or heightened realities in their physical environment, through projected mixed reality experiences.
This is a collaboration between Senseless World and Museo Marino Marini in Florence, Italy. The Senseless team is designing a Lumen experience aimed at heightening the museum’s artwork while honoring the artist’s intention and leveraging the curatorial staff’s existing educational tour formats.
Lumen takes the form of a flashlight — it can map its physical environment and project onto it. It generates a virtual map of a given space — a museum or a classroom for instance. It then uses this map to overlay virtual experiences on top of the physical space through projection.

As a person moves around with Lumen, it tracks where they are in the virtual world and projects it back into the physical world. Lumen frees augmented reality from the confines of screens and enables many people to experience it together.

The senses are the way we interact with our world. It is a connection made between the mind and that around it. We play with senses because it is so core to what makes us human. How do we evolve as humans as technology begins to augment these senses? We do not have the answer but we enjoy exploring the question.
A project not yet create is a project with opportunity.
When does a project begin? When does it end?
This is just a square.
